Dundee - Dens Park : Map credit National Library of Scotland Dens Park is the home of Dundee FC who moved to the ground in 1899 when the Dundee Athletic Grounds at Carolina Port closed. There were press reports at the time that a bicycle track was to be built at Dens Park but this did not materialise and very little bicycle racing was held there. There was a cinder track at the Park that was used for running races.

Dundee FC held their annual sports at Dens Park from 1900, but did not include bicycle racing. The police sports were held at Dens Park from 1900 and two bicycle races were included. The sports continued for many years and bicycle races were included for some periods up to 1939. The Scottish NCU one mile grass track championship race was included in the 1938 police sports meeting.

There was greyhound racing at the Park from 1932 to 1937 and again from 1994 to 1996. Dundee FC still play at the ground and are in the Scottish Premier League.
